Task 3: Work with a partner. Find out his/her preferences.
Example:
A: Which do you prefer, detective films or science films?
B: Well, it's difficult to say. But I suppose I prefer science fiction films
to detective films.
1. Elicit different types of film from students.
2. Pre-teach the
names of the films in the table, if necessary.
3. Ask students to
look at the first kind of film Science fiction and then listen to
the teacher's sentence: I don't like science fiction at all.
4. Get
students to look at the first row and ask them where to put a tick.
Then put the tick in the "Not at all" column.
5. Get one student to
make another sentence with horror. Then ask him/her where to tick.
6. Let students do the task individually.
7. Check if students understand the different types of film and the
adjectives. Pre-teach if necessary.
8. Conduct a mini substitution
drill to practise

9. Get students to do pairwork to practise
showing agreement using "Me.,too."

them quite disgusting.

11. Get
students into groups of four and practise.
12. Tell students to copy the table onto a piece of paper.
