Here is the 8th VTTN quiz. This time is gives you a chance to test your knowledge of writing methodology and techniques, so if you attended the last round of provincial workshops, you have a good chance of winning! The last quiz proved to be quite tricky, so let’s hope this is a bit easier!

Are these statements true or false?

1. Writing a paragraph is an example of a real-life writing task.
2. Providing students with an aim and audience helps make the writing task meaningful.
3. Writing tasks in Tieng Anh 10 tend to follow a process writing model approach.
4. Combining both product and process writing rather than adopting just one, fits the Vietnamese context better.
5. One of the benefits of collaborative writing is that a teacher doesn’t have to mark so many papers.
6.
Writing should always be set as homework rather than done in class.
7. Writing can be fun if it’s collaborative, creative and integrated with other skills.
8. A teacher needs to correct every written mistake a student makes.
9. Spoken language is the same as written language.
10. If a student can speak English well, they won’t have any problems with writing.
