Making grammar communicative

In July and August 2006, 20 provincial workshops were held for 800 upper secondary school teachers in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Dinh, Can Tho, Da Nang, Ha Noi, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Ngai, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Soc Trang, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue and Yen Bai.

The theme of these workshops was teaching grammar communicatively, with a particular focus on ways of introducing new language, grammar practice and adapting “Language Focus” lessons from the new version of the Tieng Anh 10 textbook.
