Welcome to the 14th edition of
English Now!
This has been another busy year for VTTN with both
provincial workshops and trainer training workshops. This
year we have put a lot of effort into training our VTTN
trainers and we have held 3 trainer training workshops in
Hanoi and HCMC this year, with another one planned for
January. These workshops have focused on developing
the skills and knowledge to allow the trainers to plan and
deliver their own teacher training workshops in the
future. I'm sure we will all see the success of this training
in the next summer VTTN workshops!
In this issue of
English Now
you'll find out more about
this year's provincial workshops which looked at
receptive skills. There are ideas for listening and reading
activities for all stages of a lesson. In this issue we have
also included some tips for teaching the language focus
sections in the new Tieng Anh textbooks. You'll also find
your old favourites like the ELT Quiz, VTTN News and the
very helpful Resources Page.
Once again, a big thank you to our editors, Lam Son and Bao Kham who continue to do a great job. And thanks also
